Leitat showcasing AID4SME innovation and funding opportunities in Spain

On May 27th in Bilbao, hosted by SPRI Group, and on May 28th in Barcelona at ACCIÓ, two regional investment and promotion agencies, AID4SME took to the opportunity to engage directly with small and medium-sized enterprises. Leitat Technological Center, a key partner of the project, presented AID4SME and highlighted the funding opportunities of the project.

As a European cascade funding initiative, AID4SME provides SMEs with:

• access to cutting-edge technologies
• opportunities to collaborate with large companies
• fast-track funding of up to €150,000 to support innovation initiatives

Leitat introduced two standout innovation opportunities being offered through AID4SME:

• Predictive maintenance powered by artificial intelligence
• Semi-automated disassembly of electric vehicle batteries

These initiatives are designed to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and promote sustainable innovation across Europe’s SME ecosystem.

Approximately 50 SMEs participated across both sessions, demonstrating strong interest in the project and its offerings.
