Belonging to the Mechanical Engineering Department of KU Leuven, the LMSD research group aims at creating added value during every phase (design, manufacturing, and operations) in the lifetime of mecha(tro)nic systems by understanding, monitoring and controlling their dynamic (motion, vibration, & acoustics) behaviour.
The Intelligent Systems Engineering team, part of the Industrial Systems Engineering Department at Ghent University and the ISyE core lab at Flanders Make, conducts research on robust and trustworthy processing chains for integrating hybrid data sources and systems. Our work combines expertise in data science, spatiotemporal processing, and knowledge engineering to develop innovative decision-support solutions. These solutions address the growing complexity of industrial management and urban policy-making, fostering a smarter, more resilient society and industry.
Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) is the leading scientific research and development organisation in Slovenia covering a broader spectrum of disciplines: physics, chemistry, electronics, automation and information technologies, nuclear reactor engineering and energetics. Two departments are directly involved in the project, ie. Department of Automatics, Biocybernetics and Robotics, and Department of Systems and Control.
